Delete account
Last updated: 9 October 2026
This page explains how to delete your MemorizeKit account, what happens afterwards, and how your data is handled. You do not need to sign in to read it.
1. How to delete your account
- Sign in to the app and open Account → Security.
- Choose "Delete account".
- Confirm with the 6-digit code sent to your email (valid for 10 minutes) and type your account email.
2. Timeline
Your account is deleted 30 days after you confirm. Until then everything works normally, and you can cancel from the notice at the top of the app or on Account → Security. After deletion you can sign up again with the same email as a new, empty account.
3. What is deleted
- Your sign-in identity: sessions, linked sign-in methods, and passkeys.
- Your profile and settings.
- API keys.
- Notifications and push devices.
- Stored Google Drive tokens.
- Your avatar.
- An active Paddle subscription is cancelled when the account is deleted. Cancel renewal yourself before then if you want to avoid a renewal charge.
4. What is retained
- Payment records for 10 years, without your profile.
- A hashed email, only if it bounced or reported spam.
- A deletion record until every service finishes, after which it is anonymized.
- Your name in invitation emails you already sent.
- Backups, until they rotate out.
5. What is not yet deleted
Lessons, Items, study history, uploaded documents, and AI conversations stay stored, linked to no account. Deleting them will be added before the mobile app is published. Your shared or public Lessons may stay visible to other learners until then.
6. If you cannot sign in
Try password recovery or magic-link sign-in. If that does not work, email support@memorizekit.com from your registered address. Support helps you regain access; it does not delete accounts on your behalf.
