MemorizeKit Learn

Answer, get checked, then level up.

Learn turns the terms in your Lessons into questions with real answers. You answer, and MemorizeKit checks the answer instead of asking you to grade yourself. That result then goes into the term's review schedule.

Multiple choice

Which term matches this meaning?

to give all your attention to something and not think about anything else

Real terms from public Lessons. This preview checks answers in your browser; in MemorizeKit, answers are checked on the server.

Three question types, one session.

Every term can appear in three forms. Turn each one on or off in Settings — with one rule: Multiple choice and Typed answer can't both be off.

  • Listening

    Listen, then choose

The question plays audio first; text is secondary. Learn uses the term's own pronunciation, or a TTS reading once it is ready.

  • Multiple choice

    Recognise the right answer

Four choices for one prompt. Use Show hint when you need a nudge, or Don’t know to see the answer right away.

  • Typed answer

    Write the answer yourself

No choices to rule out. You type your answer, and Learn compares it with the term's confirmed answer.

Answers are checked, not self-graded.

Before you answer, MemorizeKit never sends the answer to your device. Only after you answer does it return the result with the term's correct answer — so “correct” in Learn is a verified answer.

A correct answer doesn't guarantee the term moves up a Level. MemorizeKit's memory layer decides the schedule.

  • Correct

Your answer matches. If Correct answer sound is on, a short confirmation plays once for that question.

  • Not quite

Your answer is wrong. Learn shows the correct answer right away so you can compare, and doesn't ask that question again in the same round.

  • Don’t know

You choose to see the answer. Learn shows Correct answer and doesn't mark this choice right or wrong.

Spaced repetition

Remember it, and it comes back less often.

Learn doesn't ask every term at the same rate. Each checked result moves a term up or down a memory ladder, and that ladder decides when you see it again. That's spaced repetition: review right before you'd forget, not right after you remembered.

Two correct in a row moves up one Level
One correct answer alone doesn't change the Level — so a lucky guess won't pull a term out of review.
One wrong brings it back soon; two in a row moves it down
A term drops no lower than Level 1 and never goes back to unlearned.
At Level 6, each correct answer doubles the gap
The gap keeps growing up to 365 days — so every term still comes back at least once a year.

The default algorithm uses Levels 0 to 6. Level 0 is a saved term you haven't studied yet, and the first valid answer moves it to Level 1, right or wrong. Learn doesn't calculate the schedule itself — it sends the result, and MemorizeKit's memory layer keeps the schedule.

Gap between reviews

  • Level 1
  • Level 2
  • Level 3
  • Level 4
  • Level 5
  • Level 6

The higher the Level, the longer the gap. Level 6 is Well remembered.

Due terms come first.

You don't have to choose what to study. Learn orders terms by how well you remember each one, and a session stops at the number of terms you set.

Due first, new after
Terms due for review are asked first, then terms you haven't studied yet. Terms that aren't due stay out of the session.
All terms or Starred only
Open Learn from a Lesson with every term — the default — or only the ones you starred. If no starred terms are due, Learn says so and takes you back to the Lesson.
5 to 25 terms per session
Items per session accepts 5, 10, 15, 20, or 25. The default is 20 — short enough to finish in one sitting.

Changing settings starts a fresh session.

Settings has three groups: Question types, Items per session, and Study experience. When a save succeeds, Learn rebuilds the session with the new settings and progress returns to 1 / N — instead of half-applying them to a running session.

  • Settings are saved to your account, so other devices get the same defaults.
  • Show images turns pictures on or off in questions and answer choices; the text always stays.
  • If a save fails, your running session and your draft settings stay as they were.
Learn's three settings groups, as they appear in a session.

The end of a session is a receipt, not a score.

Learn doesn't rank you. It shows what the last session covered, and where the terms you've studied sit across six memory Levels.

Learn checks your answer. Flashcards let you rate your own recall.

Both modes use the same terms but reach a conclusion differently: Learn checks what you answered, while Flashcards let you rate yourself with Still learning or Know.
